| If you would like to talk to me, that's fine. I prefer to consult over the telephone at first, and we would have the same conversation we'd have sitting down together at my office. It's best if you are not too distracted by anything while we're talking, and the best time for me to talk is the afternoon or early evening.
You do not need to have a perfect understanding of your finances, but I will ask about debts you owe, property you own, your income and expenses, and other fairly predictable topics. (Under the new law, I will focus on your income level at first, since that will determine if we may proceed or not.) The main thing is for us to communicate well, and that takes a little time. Our conversation usually lasts from about 30 minutes to an hour, or longer. I certainly encourage and often receive follow-up calls, so it's not like we only have one chance to talk.
