I worked for the Austin law firm of Alvis, Carssow and von Kreisler from 1982-1986. I have been practicing on my own since then. My specialty is filing Chapter 7 consumer bankruptcy cases, and I tend to not file cases involving a business outside the home. I quit counting how many I have filed after the first thousand or two. I perform all services personally, and my office has for the last six years been located in my three-story residence southeast of downtown. Parking is not a problem, and I generally make house calls for anyone who cannot climb stairs.
*In case you're interested, becoming board certified in a field of law requires several things: five years of substantial practice in that field, additional continuing legal education beyond the normal standards, passing a long test, and receiving favorable reviews from other lawyers and judges.
